Serve Idaho, the Governor's Commission on Service and Volunteerism, a division of the Idaho Department of Labor, is proud to present the 2013 Governor's Brightest Star Awards!


Thank you to everyone who took time to nominate their Brightest Stars! We had an incredible group of 2013 nominees, and this year's event was one of our best yet!

The governor and first lady announced the Governor’s Choice Award – Wyakin Warrior Foundation – and the First Lady’s Choice – Meridian Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council as most outstanding volunteers.

 

All nominees were recognized as stars in their communities. In each category two nominees were highlighted as outstanding volunteers and one Brightest Star Volunteer of the Year award was chosen. This year’s recognized volunteer leaders were:
